Come se Nintendo 3DS avesse bisogno di aiuto per vendere in Giappone, il rilascio di Monster Hunter XX (espansione di Generazioni di Monster Hunter ) ha aumentato del 179% le vendite totali di 3DS (2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL).
